The Furggu Pass road offers a compact but varied ascent of around 1872 meters over a distance of around 9.5 kilometers. The road surface is in good condition; as a typical Pass road, the route is usually rather narrow and a continuous central reservation is not to be expected everywhere, which requires anticipatory driving in oncoming traffic. The road curves uphill and downhill in a mix of tighter Hairpins and smoother sections; some radii are tight and require careful line choice. With a maximum gradient of 16 percent, the route requires some shifting and a good feel for Braking points, but remains easy to control thanks to the moderate overall length and the speedy average riding time of around 16 minutes. The bottom line is that the Furggu is particularly suitable for experienced and advanced motorcyclists; experienced beginners can also enjoy it with a defensive riding style.
In terms of traffic, the Furggu is of more local importance: it primarily serves as a connection within the Zwischbergen municipal area and does not have a supra-regional transit function. Accordingly, the volume of traffic is generally low and is mainly characterized by local residents and excursion traffic; on nice weekends there may be individual peaks due to motorcyclists, cyclists and hikers, but overall the traffic remains well below that of an important connecting road.
