As a cross-border connection between Bavaria and Tyrol, the Ursprung Pass is mainly used for regional traffic between Bayrischzell and Thiersee; it is not a superordinate long-distance route. Accordingly, the volume of traffic is usually moderate, but can increase significantly on sunny weekends and during the vacation season due to excursion and motorcycle traffic.
