The Puerto de Navacerrada offers almost 37 kilometers of mostly well-maintained, asphalted Pass road with two lanes and a marked center line, with wide, smooth curves and some tighter Hairpins. Overall, the width of the road is comfortable, but the steeper ramps and tighter radii in the upper passages demand a clean line choice and a good view. For experienced riders, this is an enjoyable, rhythmic route; intermediates with a little practice will also do well if they ride carefully.

The Pass road is the direct axis between the Autonomous Community of Madrid and the province of Segovia and traffic can be heavy at times, especially at weekends, during the vacation and winter season, when slower vehicles and possible delays are to be expected.
