The Otxondo mendatea offers a two-lane Pass road with a marked central reservation; in the upper passages it becomes a little narrower in places, but remains easy to drive on. The curves alternate between flowing bends with medium radii and a few crisper Hairpins, with short ramps with gradients of up to 16 percent. Overall, the route is rather easy to ride and not very technically demanding.
