The Ibañetako lepoa / Puerto de Ibañeta (Roncesvalles Pass) is a wide, asphalted Pass road with center markings throughout and offers a varied mix of flowing turns and individual tighter Hairpins, interrupted by short, very steep ramps with gradients of up to 25 percent. The surface is mostly good, but has cracks and patches; a defensive line is recommended in Wet conditions. The route is a pleasure for experienced riders and can be ridden by less experienced riders with caution.

The volume of traffic is usually moderate, but can increase at times due to the proximity to the border, excursion traffic and seasonal peaks, but often remains quiet during the week.
