In general, the route offers tight Hairpins with compact radii and then smoother sections, but overall the narrow mountain road profile predominates. In the tunnel area, it is often cool and slightly damp, which requires a careful hand on the gas. Moderately difficult for motorcyclists because the altitude, winter conditions and the steeper ramps on the north side require more attention.

Practical tip: In wintry conditions, be sure to check the tunnel status before setting off; at night, the tunnel is also one-way for all vehicles from 10 pm to 6 am!
