Route details

An easy Tour, ideal for beginners - on well-maintained Main roads throughout.

This Tour leads on Main roads from the Knonaueramt through the Lucerne hinterland into the Entlebuch and then into the Emmental to Summiswald and then back to the Knonaueramt to the Türlersee.
The route starts in Türlen. After Knonau on overland roads and Main roads via Abtwil to Neuenkirch, with magnificent views of the Central Swiss mountain scenery. Before Abtwil, the route crosses the first mini Mountain Mountain pass in Oberrüti with the Freudberg and then continues to Neuenkirch on main roads and country roads - some without a central reservation. Main roads then take you to Malters and via main road no. 10 via Wolhusen into Entlebuch. In Trubschachen, the route passes the Kambly biscuit factory - a stop for a sweet treat would be worthwhile for biscuit fans. And again and again the Tour leads past beautiful farms and houses in this typical Bernese architectural style. After Summiswald, the Tour then heads back along Main roads via Wauwil and Beromünster to Lake Hallwyl and passes the beautiful Hallwyl Castle in Boniswil. From there it goes via Muri and Affoltern back to Knonaueramt and back to Lake Türler. And now off into the Türlersee for a swim, you've earned it.
