Round trip on the Säntis for Cruisers with a continuous central reservation

This Round trip is very pleasant to ride and is very suitable for beginners and leisurely riders who would like to ride a Pass road tour. The Tourer leads continuously on roads with a central reservation.

The Tourer starts in Lütisburg and takes the newly built highway/interurban road. It leads from Lütisburg via Wattwil to Nesslau and, with its long curves, is perfect for motorcycle beginners. Shortly after Lütisburg, the 170-year-old Letzibrücke bridge still stands right next to the Main road. From Ebnatkappel you have a wonderful view of the 7 Kurfirsten. From Nesslau over the Säntis Pass to Waldstatt, the wonderfully wide and newly resurfaced roads wind their way over the Pass summit. From Waldstatt, take the Expressway to Herisau and then the overland road to Degersheim, past Magdenau Monastery, which is well worth a visit - interesting guided tours of short duration are offered for those interested in history - and the well-known Klosterhof Rössli Restaurant. From Magdenau, the route follows the Main road through the Rindal valley back to Lütisburg. The many smaller and larger villages and communities in the hilly landscape are a beautiful sight for a Unterländer - many old timber-framed houses have been preserved in their original form.
