This challenging Round trip includes the Mountain passes Grimsel - Nufenen - Lukmanier - Oberalp - Susten with start from Brienz.

The most challenging part is the succession of Mountain passes with their countless Curves. It is an advantage to already have a few kilometers on the clock.
From beautiful Brienz on Lake Brienz, the Tour leads via Meiringen up the Haslital to the foot of the Grimsel Pass. The road up and down the Grimsel Pass is in very good condition. Once in Gletsch, the Tour follows the Furka road up the valley to the foot of the ascent to the Nufenen Pass. It is a Pass road that is somewhat overshadowed by the "Grimselpass - Furkapass" combo. After the Pass summit, it leads you over long overland roads through the beautiful Val Bedretto to Airolo. From Airolo, continue north on overland roads to Biasca and from there head south again into the Blenio Valley to the village of the same name. From there, the ascent to the Lukmanier begins. It is worth making a short stop at the Pass summit to take a look at the imposing dam wall.

Once in Disentis, turn left up to the Oberalp Pass, the source of the Rhine.

The next and last Mountain pass on this Tour is the Susten Mountain pass via Andermatt, Göschenen and Wassen. It is a beautiful Mountain pass to ride on both sides with lots of great photo hotspots.

The Tour then leads back through the Haslital via Meiringen back to Brienz.
