A varied Tourer through the Allgäu High Alps - full of panoramic views, riding fun and alpine charm.
Shortly after the start in Schwarzach, the first ascent to the Riedberg Pass begins at around 1400 meters. The route then descends via Fischen to Sonthofen - on well-maintained roads through an idyllic landscape.
The route continues to the Alpine road and via Bad Hindelang up to the Oberjochpass, whose narrow Switchbacks with seven Hairpin bends in direct succession require driving skills.
After the Oberjoch Pass, the route continues into Austria on the wide B199. Before Weissenstein, it is worth stopping at the Gemstal bridge, whose spectacular location is otherwise easily overlooked. The ascent to the Gaichtpass has few bends, but the descent to Lech impresses with a striking triple hairpin bend combination.
In Weissenbach, the Route continues through the picturesque Lech Valley with magnificent views.
After the Hochtannberg Pass, the popular Schmitte kiosk invites you to take a break. The road passes through a few tunnels, but none of them are particularly long, allowing riders to enjoy a continuous riding experience.
In Au, a stop at the Fischteich Au garden restaurant is recommended for fresh trout straight from the pond, before the Tourer ends a few kilometers further on in Egg.
