The three Mountain passes Splügen - Maloja - Julier in Graubünden with a Detour to the Valle di Lei dam.
You will need your Mountain pass or ID for this Tourer.
Shortly after Thusis, you will reach the Viamala Gorge. If you don't know it yet, you should definitely pay it a visit! If you don't know it yet, you should definitely plan a stop! The route then continues towards San Bernardino and via a Detour to Lago di Lei. This is a dead end, but the trip is definitely worth it: the dam wall is impressive and the winding road with its long curves and continuous central reservation is great fun.
Return along the same route to the Roflaschlucht gorge and continue towards Splügen. You then cross the Splügen Pass to Chiavenna. The road over the Splügen Pass has a total of 74 Hairpin bends, 21 on the Swiss side and 53 on the Italian side, some of which are very narrow and steep.
After Chiavenna, the route heads back into Switzerland through the Bergell valley and over the Maloja Pass. The curve induction here is short and ultra-curvy with 22 curves in a very tight space.
At Silvaplana, the route finally heads over the Julier Pass back to Thusis. The Julier Pass is the least demanding of all three Mountain passes. With its continuous central reservation, wide Curves and moderate gradients, it is very pleasant and relaxed to ride.
