The two-pass tour through the Bernese and Fribourg Oberland - over the Jaun Pass and the Saanenmöser Pass

The Tourer starts in Farvagny FR at Rte de Rossens 102, right next to the Petrol station. From there, it leads over the imposing Rossens dam and on to La Roche on narrow country roads without a central reservation. From there, the Route runs along straight, wide Main roads until just before Broc - a really enjoyable part of the Tourer, where you can take in the magnificent scenery to the full.

The ascent to the Jaun Pass begins in Broc - a pleasant route with well-maintained curves. From Broc, most of the road has a central reservation and impresses with its flowing, sweeping curves. On the Bernese side, shortly before the Pass summit, there is no central reservation, but the road remains wide. Here, the Curves are somewhat tighter and follow each other in closer succession, which makes for a more dynamic ride. After the Mountain pass, a Detour to the Viewpoint with impressive views over the Simmental is recommended.

In Reidenbach, the route continues north to Zweisimmen, where the ascent to the Saanenmöser Pass begins. The road is well maintained, has a central reservation throughout and offers wide lanes, clear, wide curves and pleasant gradients - ideal for enjoyable Cruisers.

After Château-d'Oex, the Tourer heads north on Main roads via Rossinière through the Vallée de la Sarine (Saane Valley), past Gruyères and Riaz, back to the starting point in Farvagny. A stop in Gruyères for a visit to the castle of the same name is well worthwhile!
